About
Edward G. Atwill
Ed Atwill is a native upstate New Yorker with an International MBA degree, from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, Glendale, Arizona. He has spent 30 years in the printing paper and packaging business in sales/marketing and operations management positions, living and working in Hawaii, Northern and Southern California, Chicago, and Boston, prior to his move to the Finger Lakes, in 1994, where he established a permanent residence overlooking Seneca Lake. Ed founded Seneca Springs Resort in 1994. He and his wife, Cindy Atwill, currently own and manage a unique, ten room, four suite, luxury property, located 7 miles north of Watkins Glen New York, in the heart of the "Banana Belt," East Seneca Lake's prime winery/vineyard corridor. www.senecasprings.com In late 2004, Ed obtained his associate realtor salesperson license. While learning the ropes of the regional market, Ed began researching and developing a business model, recognizing the Finger Lakes as a unique and newly discovered treasure, a special area that must move "to the next level" in order to sustain long term, quality growth. From 2005 to 2007, Ed successfully coordinated the sale of a long abandoned, prominent commercial building to the county's municipal authorities, providing desperately needed, cost effective, social services upgrades for the community at large. In a win-win scenario, Ed achieved the asking price for his client, while helping save the government and taxpayers the additional millions of dollars a "green field" facility would have cost. An added benefit has been the beginning of a commercial resurgence within the local community. These types of synergies provide the catalysts for impressive, positive change. Dr. Barry Schiff of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida loves the Finger Lakes. In October 2008, Barry closed on a truly gorgeous 150 acre dream property he calls his "own personal state park." Cayuga Lake frontage, several gorges and waterfalls, a classic 1920s barn, vineyard ideal meadows, old hardwood forests, and incredible vistas. His broker, Ed Atwill, stated "through hard work, creativity, and tenacity we helped Barry find the "deal of the century." Let us help you live your dreams." Continuing real estate activities have focused on the development of our area's exciting tourism opportunities and the commercial and residential transactions required for meaningful, intelligent growth that will sustain the purity of our environment, while offering exciting prospects for the future. Ed obtained his Associate Broker license in October 2007, and founded Vineyard Lakes Properties, LLC in early 2008. A key goal of Vineyard Lakes Properties, LLC is to attract qualified, talented investors and residents to the Finger Lakes; those with an appreciation for the beauty and future prospects of the region.
